At a live printing station, guests watch a piece made for them and leave wearing it, usually about two minutes after they pick. Here's how a Milwaukee date comes together.
Before the event
Art comes to us first and we send back a proof. Once it's approved we make screens and DTF film in Fullerton, order blanks to the headcount, and ship the lot to your Milwaukee venue as freight. We also settle which stations suit your run-of-show.
On the day
- Build: the crew, in town since the day before, meets the freight and sets up about 10×10 ft per station with dedicated power.
- Choose: each guest picks a size, a garment and a design, or a patch at the hat bar.
- Print: each press runs up to 60 pieces an hour, and the standard two-press station clears 100+ an hour at full speed.
- Wear: the finished piece goes to the guest warm off the platen.
What the venue provides
About 10×10 ft per station, two dedicated 120V/20A circuits, a level floor and a line path that stays clear of the doors. Indoors or out works with the right plan. See venue requirements.
Choosing a method
Volume points to the press, full-color art or short runs to DTF, and a gift feel to the hat bar or embroidery. Read how live printing works or tell us about your Milwaukee event.
Milwaukee planning
The Milwaukee part of the plan
Load-in is where Milwaukee dates differ. Baird Center runs a marshalling schedule, a Third Ward loft has a freight lift and a set time, and a lakefront tent depends on the festival's vehicle window. We book the freight around whichever one you have.
Because the gear is on a truck from Fullerton before the crew flies, a date change needs about two weeks' notice.
