The lakefront is Milwaukee's summer: festival weekends at Henry Maier Festival Park and waterfront events along Lake Michigan. These tend to be big-crowd jobs, with crowds that surge when a set ends and an open site the wind blows straight across.
We plan lakefront builds around three things: dedicated power at the footprint, cart distance from the vehicle drop, and wind. Tents get sidewalls and weights, DTF film stays in a lidded bin, and a crew member works the front of the line so the printers only print. Our festival grounds guide goes deeper.
What runs well on the Lakefront
- Live screen printing: the festival design on the press, fast enough for set breaks.
- Live DTF: sponsor art and names on a DTF table beside it.
- Live hat bar: caps with a patch as a second, lighter line.
- Promo & hard goods: totes and koozies for a crowd out all day.
Hosting inland? Downtown & Baird Center, Historic Third Ward, Deer District, Walker's Point, and Bay View are covered too. Festival freight is booked around the grounds' vehicle windows, and the crew is in town the day before gates.
Festival power is the usual snag: get the number of dedicated 120V/20A circuits at your spot in writing. The footprint is roughly 10×10 ft per station.
Send the site map, the hours and the expected attendance, and we'll send a station plan and an itemized quote within 24 hours.
