Per station: about 10×10 ft of level floor, two dedicated 120V/20A circuits, and a dock or lift our road cases can use. Everything else ships to Milwaukee ahead of the crew: presses, dryers, ink, blanks, tables and signs.
The list
- Space: 10×10 ft per station on a level floor, plus room for a line that doesn't block an exit or a service lane.
- Power: two dedicated 120V/20A circuits per station for the flash dryers and heat presses. At Baird Center, electrical is ordered through the venue before the show. In a hotel ballroom, check the circuits aren't shared with catering.
- Access: a dock, freight lift or ground-level door, and a load-in time we can book freight around.
- Outdoor extras: cover, a flat surface and a power drop, or space for a quiet generator. Lakefront sites also need somewhere to stake or weight the tent.
Milwaukee rooms that need a little more planning
Baird Center load-in runs on a marshalling schedule, so we ask for the window in writing before we ship. Converted lofts in the Third Ward and Walker's Point are easy on space, but the outlets on one wall are often a single circuit. Fiserv Forum and the Deer District plaza have their own event staff and load-in rules, so we start with the venue's event contact. On the lakefront, ask the festival how many dedicated circuits reach your spot. Power somewhere nearby isn't the same thing.
